Braised Tilapia


4-5 Tilapia fillets

1 tablespoon oil

2 cloves garlic

1 slice ginger (about 2 teaspoons)

2 green onions

¼ cup Ying’s Korean BBQ Marinade

1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice (or use fresh lemon or lime)


1. Cut garlic into slices and ginger into thin strips. Slice green onions into 1 ½ ” length pieces. Separate white parts and set aside. Slice green parts lengthwise.

2. Pat-dry fish with a paper towel. In a frying pan or skillet, heat about 1 tablespoon oil on medium high and add fish. Allow to sear and brown for about 2 minutes. Turn fish fillet over and sear for another few minutes.

3. Add garlic, white part of green onions, garlic and Ying’s Korean BBQ Marinade. Cover, and reduce heat to low, and allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

4. Drizzle lime or lemon juice and top with green part of the onions.
